Preparation
- Shower first to remove sweat, body oils, deodorant, lotions, and fragrances.
- Avoid oils, lotions & creams — they can degrade latex and leave residue on PVC.
- Ensure your skin is fully dry — humidity increases friction and makes latex cling.
Latex
- Use a silicone-based dressing aid for easier dressing in humidity. (from beGLOSS or Vivishine).
- Take care with fingernails and long nails — use the flats of your fingers or smooth gloves.
- Remove accessories (rings, bracelets, watches) to avoid snags.
- Go slow — ease the garment into place without sharp pulls.
- Let latex warm to room temperature before wearing.
PVC
- No dressing aid needed, though PVC may cling slightly in humidity.
- Be gentle with seams — warm PVC softens and can crease.
- Consider a thin breathable base layer for comfort in heat.
